with tthis economy, i was thinking more economical or innovative cars…any other suggestions? Which one would be the best and why?
[Answer: The problem with innovative cars is that you still don't know if people are going to purchase them or not -- gas prices are expected to drop as OPEC increases production of gas/oil so we can't assume consumers are more likely to buy hybrid cars now.
The major things a firm can do is to continue advertising, provide incentives for drivers to purchase their vehicles (e.g.: money-back, free gas, etc.), or lay-off workers to decrease variable costs (fixed costs like rent can't be changed unless you close plants down). As long as the firm can cover its day-to-day expenses (e.g.: variable costs), the firm will still be willing to operate, though they can't upgrade any of their technology (e.g. equipment) because they need to conserve money. If the plant doesn't have the ability to produce more economical cars or hybrids, it would be unlogical for the plant to throw away all their current capital for new equipment -- they need to work with what they have right now.
With companies like GM, they're bound to go bankrupt unless they can make more fuel-efficient cars -- continuously closing more plants and firing people won't save them in the long run.]

I have to:
1. define the problem
2. explain the situation (i have to come up with one)
3. the reason it is a problem
4. its potential repercussions
i have a couple of answers to these, but not enough to complete the essay. its kinda short right now
Have you considered asking this question in Cars and Transportation? Or in Business and Finance? And include what you already have for ideas and ask for help from there. It will be easier for people to give help if you include the ideas you are already working on. Best of luck with it.
I have a large after sales (garage) store in Greece (300 m3) and i need to find a heating solution that is efficient and relatively cheap. Any ideas?
Put in a barrell stove, make sure you put metal under it to prevent fire, and vent through the roof. collect scrap wood to burn, pallets etc.

I came up with a couple of answers but i need a 4 page essay (single spaced, not double) but i cant think of that much, so i need more answers.Thanks.
I have to:
1. define the problem
2. explain the situation (i have to come up with one)
3. the reason it is a problem
4. its potential repercussions
1) The problem is that sales and profits are down. Most organizations want to maximize sales and profits, so negative trends in both of these categories indicate that there may be problems with the way that the company is run, the market, etc.
2) You sell SUVs. People aren’t buying SUVs because gas prices make them cost prohibitive and people’s incomes aren’t keeping pace with inflation, which is an issue because commodity prices are increasing rapidly and you aren’t able to pass along your input costs to the consumer.
3. It’s a problem because the viability of your business is in question. If problems continue, you will have to change your business model or go out of business.
4. Lay off staff, streamline operations, etc.
The salary/remuneration for a particular job is the market value for a particular profession and designation at the city/town where the office is located. Job postings at websites like Monster, Yahoo HotJobs and Careerbuilder carry information about salaries. The Govt Dept of Labor, (www.bls.gov) Bureau of statistics has information about median salaries for different professions and details of additional compensation offered.
